yyzTools User Agreement

1. About the Software

yyzTools (Yes Your Zen Tools) is a desktop productivity toolkit for Windows. We aim to bring the frequent, trivial needs of everyday work and creation together into a ready-to-use toolbox—so you no longer have to wander through uneven plugin markets, filtering, installing, and paying for each small feature individually. Install once, and the tools you need are ready at hand.

The main capabilities currently provided include (continuously updated):

• Command Panel: a unified entry point for searching apps, files, bookmarks, clipboard, windows, and processes, with a built-in command line and calculator;
• Launch & Productivity: dock, clipboard history, app usage statistics, screen capture & pin-to-desktop, reminder assistant, perpetual calendar;
• Text & Language: super translation, OCR (text recognition), regular expressions, encode / decode, hash calculation, encryption / decryption;
• Files & Media: file preview, batch file rename, batch image processing, batch video processing, batch PDF processing, file download;
• Calculation & Extensions: calculation scratchpad, QR code generation & recognition, AI quick entry;
• Personalization: dynamic wallpaper, desktop effects, game mode.

2. License Scope

1. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on Windows devices you own or are authorized to use, for personal study or internal office use.
2. You agree that you will not:
   • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software (except as expressly permitted by law or necessary for interoperability);
   • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other rights notices within the Software;
   • Redistribute, resell, rent, host, or bundle the Software for profit without authorization (official integrations with our written consent excepted);
   • Use the Software for any activity that violates laws, regulations, public order, or the lawful rights of others.

3. Privacy & Data Handling (Important)

We take your privacy seriously. The Software follows a "local-first" principle:

1. Local processing first: Data involved in features such as clipboard history, app usage statistics, file search and preview, desktop effects, and the command panel is collected, processed, and stored locally on your device, in local configuration files and databases, and is never actively uploaded to our servers by the Software.
2. Online features: When you use features that require a network connection, such as "Super Translation", the text or image data you input will be sent to the corresponding third-party online service according to your chosen configuration to complete processing. Such data is handled by the third party under its own privacy policy and is outside our control. To prevent any data from being sent out, you may disable the relevant feature or avoid using online capabilities.
3. Automatic update check: The Software periodically requests a version manifest from official mirrors (such as GitHub, jsDelivr) to determine whether an update is needed. This process transmits only necessary information such as version numbers and does not involve any of your personal data.
4. Accounts: The Software does not require account registration and does not actively collect your identity information.
5. You may review, export, or delete the above local data in the local configuration directory and database at any time.

4. Intellectual Property

The intellectual property rights of the Software and its source code, documentation, icons, interface design, and accompanying resources belong to us or the respective rights holders, and are protected by copyright and related laws. No rights not expressly granted in this agreement are granted.

5. Third-Party Components

The Software includes, and we thank the authors of, the following (not exhaustively listed) open-source or free third-party components: Microsoft Edge WebView2, FFmpeg, ImageMagick, Ghostscript, pdfcpu, RapidOCR / Umi-OCR, Everything, Aria2, 7-Zip, OpenSSL, etc. The copyright of each component belongs to its original authors and is used under its respective open-source / free license.

6. Disclaimer

1. The Software is provided "AS IS". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of the Software.
2. In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including but not limited to data loss, loss of profit, or business interruption) arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.
3. Please back up your important data yourself; the Software does not guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, or affected by misuse.

7. Changes to the Agreement

We may revise this agreement from time to time. When updated, the new effective date will be noted on this page; your continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of the revised agreement. If you disagree, please stop using and uninstall the Software.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

The interpretation and validity of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute arising from this agreement or the Software shall first be settled through friendly consultation; if consultation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit to the people’s court with jurisdiction over our location.
